Pedestrian dies after being hit by multiple vehicles in Pascagoula

A pedestrian was hit on Highway 90 in Pascagoula on Friday morning and died from her injuries.

Pascagoula Police were called to the scene of a traffic accident about 6:20 a.m.in the westbound lane of Highway 90 and the 14th Street overpass.

A 55-year-old female identified by Jackson County Coroner Bruce Lynd Jr. as Francis Louise Cook was hit by multiple vehicles.

That road was closed to traffic while first responders tended to the victim.

Police are asking the public’s help to identify vehicles that were involved in the incident. Anyone who was involved is asked to come forward and call Pascagoula Police at 228-762-2211.
