Pascagoula Police reports positive cases of COVID-19; masks now required in city buildings

After a few Pascagoula city employees tested positive for COVID-19, the city decided to mandate the wearing of face masks in all city buildings.

Refusal to wear a mask will mean that person will not be allowed inside.

Pascagoula Police posted on their Facebook page Monday morning that “a few employees tested positive.”

The Police Department is closed to the public today to allow the building to be sanitized.

Municipal Court hearings scheduled for July 8 have been canceled. Those who had court hearings for this date will be notified of the rescheduled dates.

Additional testing for City of Pascagoula employees is ongoing.

Citizens are asked to refrain from coming to city buildings unless absolutely necessary. City Council meetings are streamed online on the City of Pascagoula YouTube channel.
