Pascagoula mother named quarterfinalist in national Super Mom contest

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV) — A Pascagoula mother is competing for the national title of “super mom.”

Rosanna Rea has advanced to the quarterfinals after weeks of competition against thousands of mothers from across the United States. The contest offers the chance to earn the title along with a $20,000 cash prize.

“There’s a lot of people that need me. They need me to get up. They need me to do my very best and I give my very best every day.”

Just a simple mom on a mission to make a positive impact in her children’s lives and inspire those around her every day.

Rosanna Rea is a single mom raising her three kids while working as a full-time truck driver, attending school for her masters in business, caring for her father with dementia and supporting her mother in recovery.

For the last few weeks, Rosanna has been competing in a national Super Mom contest, a competition her kids encouraged her to enter. She’s now made it all the way to the quarter-finals with support from her family and community.

The contest benefits the Children’s Miracle Network and the winner receives $20,000 and other prizes.

Rosanna says winning would mean stability for her and her family,  something she has worked toward for many years.

As for her kids, they say she’s deserving of all the recognition she’s received through the competition.

Rosanna’s goal is to show that life is not about perfection, it’s about loving deeply, growing through hardships, and being someone your kids can look up to.

As Rosanna gets back on the road and the competition moves forward, one thing is certain, she has a community of love and support cheering her on every step of the way.
