Pascagoula-Gautier School District closed Thursday, April 15 due to heavy flooding

Flash floods in South Mississippi have prompted some schools to close.

The Pascagoula-Gautier School District announced this morning their schools would be closed Thursday, April 15, 2021 due to heavy flooding.

Officials say the decision was made “out of extreme caution for the safety of our students and employees.”

Schools are expected to reopen Friday, April 16.
