Pascagoula Food Tax Meeting

This morning Pascagoula city leaders will meet with business owners on the new two percent prepared-food tax. The city of Pascagoula will have a representative on hand at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce meeting to answer questions and offer any examples or explanations that businesses might need in dealing with the new two percent tax. The new tax goes into place January 1st and restaurants must report what they have collected. Residents voted in favor of the food tax in order to support major improvements to city recreation.
