Part of Wade-Vancleave Road in Jackson County to close today
A traffic note for drivers in Jackson County, starting today a portion of Wade-Vancleave Road will be closed for at least a year and a half, maybe even two.
Crews are replacing two bridges on Wade-Vancleave Road, the Parker’s Lake and Roy Cumbest bridge. That means Wade-Vancleave between Old River Road and Highway 63 will be closed for the next 18 to 24 months.
All traffic will be rerouted to I-10 until the work is complete.
Road closure and detour signs are now posted in the construction area.
