Parents Arrested for Child Abuse
A Waveland couple is charged with felony child abuse after their five-year-old child tested positive for methamphetamine.
Twenty-nine year-old Jessica Hammond and her husband, 33-year-old Erik Hammond, were arrested Wednesday after allegedly using meth in the presence of their child. Jessica has since bonded out on an $80,000 bond. Erik is being held without bond.
The case is still under investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming.
