Painting the Town Green

While some paint the town red on a fun night out, this group is switching it up by actually painting the town green.
Members of the Hibernia Marching Society will be out and about this Sunday painting certain Biloxi roadways green. This prep work is all for their St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday, March 12th in downtown Biloxi.
Parade Captain Mary McCuster tells News 25 this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate Irish heritage here on the Coast. “We just love it in March, you understand, because we’re able to literally turn people green and it’s a good thing. I love orange as well and it’s wonderful to know that’s our flag. It’s green, white and orange. It’s just a good time for Hibernia to be able to come out and educate the South in knowing our heritage, our Irish heritage.”
The parade starts and ends on Kuhn Street behind the Biloxi Yacht Club.
