Overnight car hauler fire in Harrison County

A fire on a car hauler caused I-10 at the 22 westbound mile marker to close for an hour overnight.

Firefighters fought to extinguish six burning cars on board. The hauler was in transit from Florida to Texas when the rear brakes caught fire, spreading to six of the eight cars on top.

Fire units from Harrison County Fire and Rescue, Pass Christian CRTC, West Harrison, and Cuevas Fire Department all responded to the fire.

There were no injuries.
