Operation Relief for Texas

City leaders are not the only one’s getting involved with helping those in need in Texas.
Operation Relief is a group of South Mississippi residents who collect supplies and monetary donations for disaster relief. The group traveled to Louisiana last year after the intense flooding and now they are collecting for victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Organizers of Operation Relief tell News 25 as soon as they saw the devastation to the west, they knew they had to step in and help. Brandon Necaise with Operation Relief said, “It does good when you have Louisiana and Mississippi helping Texas because of the hurricane that we had, Katrina. We learned a lot from Katrina and I’m hoping everybody can take what they learned from Katrina and transfer it to Texas and get them through this process.”
You can find members of Operation Relief tomorrow outside of Neco’s and Rouses in Diamondhead, plus Froogel’s in Bay St. Louis.
