Operation Relief donations at Neco’s Market

If you’re looking for a way to help those affected by Florence look no further than Neco’s Market in Pass Christian today.

The nonprofit organization Operation Relief will be at Neco’s until 7 p.m. today accepting donations to bring to the East Coast. Operation Relief started three years ago after the floods in Louisiana and are expanding their efforts now to people needing supplies such as hygiene products, food, water and even cleaning supplies in North Carolina.

Brandon Necaise with Operation Relief says people can donate any non-perishable foods, but right now they’re in high need of cleaning supplies. Clothing will not be accepted at this time. “Thursday we’re going to be in Diamondhead POA Center and then Friday you can drop off some supplies at Brandon’s ATV Service. After all the pick-ups are done and we organize, we’re gonna partner with Long Beach Fire Department, all of Hancock County, Diamondhead Fire Department and Diamondhead POA to get these supplies to the East Coast.”

Necaise says they’re hoping all the supplies will be dropped off and put to use within the next seven days.
