Operation BBQ Relief

The Shed Barbecue and Blues Joint in Ocean Springs is part of Operation BBQ Relief and sending semi-trucks full of items to Hurricane Harvey victims.
The Shed has been a part of Operation BBQ Relief since 2011, lending a helping hand and preparing a hot meal when natural disasters strike in the U.S. So far they have donated trucks full of water, thousands of bulk cans of food that serve over 45 meals and even some clothing.
Co-Founder Brad Orrison tells News 25 it feels great to be helping others. “To be there for someone or someone’s kids and their parents and so many things, animals, to be part of helping, I mean, if you haven’t done it, you should. It makes you feel great and also, just, it’s fortunate to be able to help someone in their time of need.”
If you have any items you would like to donate, the Shed will still accept any and all donations. If you would like to volunteer for Operation BBQ Relief check out their website at operationbbqrelief.org.
