O’Neal’s Seafood Moves Back to Pass Road After Katrina

The Gulf Coast lost so much in Hurricane Katrina ten years ago, but one local favorite is finally making the move back to Pass Road.

O’Neal’s Seafood restaurant had been serving po-boys to locals for nearly two decades, before complications due to Katrina and a recovering economy forced them to close in 2007. Tuesday, final preparations were being done at the old Pass Road location, just west of Debuys Road in Biloxi, to open back up and continue serving the Gulf Coast for many more years.

Keaton Terrell, co-owner of O’Neal’s Seafood, says, "1989 is the year we opened here, closed in 2007. We’re back here and we hope to be here for at least another 20 years. It means a lot to us."

O’Neal’s passed their final health inspection Tuesday and will open Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for the first time in eight years.
