One dead in fatal crash on Saturday night
An Ocean Springs woman has died as a result of a crash that happened Friday night on Highway 609 in Jackson County.
Mississippi Highway Patrol said a Dodge Ram driven by 73-year-old David Wright of Biloxi was traveling north on Highway 609 about 8:15 p.m. Friday when it collided with a Buick Lucerne driven by 66-year-old Kathleen Mangin of Ocean Springs.
Mangin was turning off Ponce De Leon Drive onto Highway 609 south. Mangin received fatal injuries in the crash and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Mississippi Highway Patrol.
