One charged in police pursuit in Jackson County

We have an update to the Jackson County police chase that happened on Tuesday, May 12th.

Twenty-one year-old Marvkese Crawford of Lake City, Texas was arrested and charged with possession of meth and felony pursuit.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell, the South Mississippi Metro Enforcement Team tried with no success pulling a vehicle over on the interstate between Jackson and Mobile County.

In the course of the pursuit, the people in the car were seen throwing items law enforcement believed to be drugs out of the window. Deputies were able to recover some of the narcotics.

The four occupants were later arrested on I-65 and I-10 and taken into custody.  Crawford’s bond is set at $150,000. The other three will not be charged in the investigation.
