Ole Miss meeting set with NCAA
Two weeks into the college football season, Ole Miss will be preparing for its biggest game of the year. It’s not the week three game at Cal-Berkeley, rather Covington, Kentucky.
That’s the site of the university’s meeting with the NCAA committee on infractions which has been set for September 11th.
Today, school officials announced the hearing date and the governing body says the panel has set aside two to three full days to complete it. Ole Miss has been under investigation for nearly five years and is currently facing 21 rules violations, 15 of which are classified as level one.
Hugh Freeze resigned as head coach last month, but administration claims it was in no way related to the NCAA case.
