Ole Miss football fall camp update

Last season, the Ole Miss collapse against Florida State looked a lot like the one versus Alabama two weeks later. If you thought you were watching the same game all over again, the confusion would certainly be understandable.
In both top five match-ups, the Rebels raced out to a big first half lead, only to turn around and blow those three touchdown cushions in the second. That’s why mental toughness is a big point of emphasis for Ole Miss with two weeks of fall camp now in the books.
First year Head Coach and Gulfport native Matt Luke says he doesn’t want to watch a re-run of 2016. “They’re super important, everything is important. Just playing together, mental toughness, just being able to perform under any circumstance. That’s what mental toughness is. And so that’s what we’re trying to create. And you want to find out now in practice, you don’t want to wait until the fourth quarter of a game to find out. You want to find out who’s going to compete right now, so that’s what we’re in the process of doing.”
The Rebels are less than three weeks out from their home opener versus South Alabama on September 2nd at 6:30 p.m.
