Ole Miss football exits spring healthy
The Ole Miss football program wrapped up spring practice with its annual Grove Bowl over the weekend.
Thus concluding Matt Luke’s first spring period as head man of the Rebels, whose defense claimed a 27-21 victory over their offense.
The Gulfport native says the biggest areas of concern he had during camp were injuries and depth and that Saturday’s spring game calmed his nerves on both fronts going forward. “Just overall pleased. I think we got out of there with no major injuries, we had a lot of guys out going into this thing, we knew that. But it was good. We got a lot of good reps, some good stuff on tape, had a two-minute drill and got in some tough conditions and you might be in a game that way and have to learn from it. So, but overall I thought it was good.”
As for depth, help could be on the way soon as Ole Miss is currently the top-ranked program for 2019 recruiting.
