Old Federal Courthouse coming down in Biloxi

A building in downtown Biloxi that many consider an eyesore will be demolished starting tomorrow.

The old Federal Courthouse building on the corner of Lameuse Street and Howard Avenue is in the process of being torn down and eventually will be replaced with a new financial institution.

Community Bank owns the property and plans to build a three story bank that will be complete in 2019. The old building has remained vacant since 2003 when the new Federal Courthouse was opened in Gulfport.
