Oil Spill Cost BP $61.6 Billion
$61.1 Billion, that’s how much the 2010 BP spill cost the oil giant. This is the first time BP has put a total cost on the catastrophe.
BP officials say they expect to spend a total of $44 billion after tax deductions are factored in, that’s including all remaining material liabilities.
The spill killed 11 rig workers and resulted in millions of gallons being spewed into the Gulf for 87 days.
