Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art holding ‘Family Crafternoons’

Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Arts has a new monthly event called ‘Family Crafternoons.’

The monthly event is for kids to have fun with their parents while making a craft based on an exhibition that is currently on view at the museum.

This Saturday from 1 to 3, kids are invited to make dancing Valentine’s Day heart puppets.

This crafternoon will close with a tour of the exhibition ‘Ledge of Maracula’ by New Orleans based artist and puppeteer Miss Pussycat. Craft Instructor Emily Brannan said, “Families can come to the museum and parents or guardians will make the craft with their kids. I will go over step by step how to make it, and then we will all put it together and do a little puppet dancing show at the end.”

Crafternoon is great for kids ages three to 10. Tickets are $10 per craft and come with entry into the museum.
