Ocean Springs seniors headed to U.S. Army All American Bowl

Two seniors at Ocean Springs High School were recognized by the U.S. Army All American Marching Band this afternoon.
Jessica Coates and Jeremiah Parker were both chosen to march in the U.S. Army Bowl which takes place in San Antonio, Texas on January 6th. Coates and Parker were nominated by their band director last year and then chosen to be part of the 125 member marching band which is made up of musicians from all across the country.
“It’s a very humbling experience to just be on this level, this national level and to also be able to be, be able to participate with all the wonderful musicians in San Antonio. It’ll be great,” said Coates.
“I’m very happy just to be surrounded by people all over the country that their dream is music. Like, they’re all here to do the same thing and they have all worked hard. I’m just excited to meet all these people,” said Parker.
Brandon Walker, a senior at Long Beach High School, was also chosen to march in the band. Congratulations to these talented musicians.
