Ocean Springs schools give back

As Southeast Texas continues to struggle following Harvey, one local school district is reaching out a helping hand.
The Ocean Springs School District has adopted Kolter Elementary School in Houston to help bring the school back on its feet. The school district is collecting anything from cleaning supplies to toiletries, snacks, and plenty of water.
Ocean Springs High School Assistant Principal Justin Sutton tells News 25 there’s no limit to the amount they are raising. “They could use all the help they could get right now. So as much as we could get to bring to them, we want to be that hope for them and that help for them. They are going through some dark times so as much as we can send their way, we want to send it to them.”
If you’re interested in donating, the cleaning supply drive ends tomorrow at 2. You can learn more on the Ocean Springs High School Facebook or district website.
