Ocean Springs principal turns school over to state rep for a day

Today at Ocean Springs High School the principal had the day off, taking her spot in the halls was Mississippi State Representative Charles Busby. The local politician was principal for the day at the high school.
Today he got a hands-on overview of school programs and the chance to connect with students. Representative Busby even made some plays on the school’s football field.
Ocean Springs High Senior Class President Mosie Kirby said, “People kind of see politicians or just people who work on the local level or the national level as just not real people. It’s definitely beneficial to have one of our state representatives come and do real things with the kids and whatnot. It definitely shows a level of respect for the school and just for the people who are in it.”
