Ocean Springs Police Department Says Goodbye to K-9 Officer “ Wilfreed’’

All week long, law enforcement agencies will honor their fallen officers and that includes the four legged ones.
The Ocean Springs Police Department lost a friend and a co-worker earlier this week when K-9 Officer “Wilfreed” lost his battle with chronic medical issues. “Will” entered service in early 2011 and was responsible for the seizure of several pounds of narcotics as well as many arrests while patrolling the high intensity drug trafficking area along I-10 in Jackson County.
“Willfreed’s” end of watch was last Monday at 1:30 in the afternoon. He was six years old.
