Ocean Springs organizations team up for toy drive

The legendary toy store Miner’s Big Stuff Doll and Toy Store partnered up with the Duchess Club of Ocean Springs to raise toys for children in need this Christmas.

For over 30 years, the Miner’s Toy Store has partnered with the Duchess Club of Ocean Springs. This partnership has a long history and ensures kids on the Coast get the pleasure of opening gifts from Santa on Christmas Day.

Employee Sarah Knight remembers shopping at Miner’s Toy Store as a child and is now happy to give back to a place that gave her so much as a child. “What we are doing is there’s a little Christmas tree inside and people can choose what they would like to donate and they get 10 percent off of their purchase and we are absolutely thrilled to be able to contribute and help kids have a happy Christmas. It is definitely a tough time in the world, especially for children who may not be able to have a Christmas. It’s just so amazing to know and understand that they can wake up and know that Santa came for them and just to be able to see their faces light up when they get something that they really, really wanted that they may not have otherwise had.”

The toy drive will go on until December 15th so stop by and donate a toy to a child in need for Christmas.
