Ocean Springs Mayor’s Youth Council Toy Drive

Some students in the Ocean Springs School District are asking for help this holiday season.

From now until December 13th, the Ocean Springs Mayor’s Youth Council is collecting toys for their annual toy drive. The council is collecting for 25 families in the Ocean Springs School District who have requested help this Christmas.

Ocean Springs Mayor Shea Dobson has spent plenty of time with the youth council and explains that he couldn’t be more proud of the students and what they strive to be. “Being someone who’s young myself, younger, I do. It’s just exciting seeing the high school kids get out and really just take ownership of their community. I’m extremely proud of them. It is here during the Christmas holidays, the spirit of giving is essential. It’s just good to see them foster that.”

If you would like to donate to the toy drive there are collection boxes set up at Ocean Springs Fire Department on Highway 90 across from Walmart and the mayor’s office at City Hall.
