Ocean Springs heads back to court to close The Scratch Kitchen
Ocean Springs will be back in court on Friday to seek a permanent injunction against The Scratch Kitchen and Bar.
The city wants to permanently close the restaurant and bar after a shooting on May 5 left one man dead and five others injured. A permanent injunction would prevent the business from operating.
Last week, The Scratch Kitchen owner Brittany Alexander said she did not have legal counsel or access to her records because they were in the restaurant, which was still an active crime scene.
Friday’s hearing will begin at 9 a.m. at Jackson County Chancery Court in Pascagoula.
