Ocean Springs City Hall gets new art

This morning, Ocean Springs City Hall added a little more color to their walls.

Ocean Springs Mayor Shea Dobson worked with the Walter Anderson Museum of Art to commission six high quality prints to hang on the walls of the meeting room. The prints will be original to Ocean Springs City Hall and will hang on the walls of where the mayor and the board of aldermen meet.

Mayor Dobson tells News 25 he is excited to hang these pieces for many reasons and hopes anyone who sees the artwork enjoys them as well. “Since we are such an art town I think that city hall should kind of reflect that so when people see us, you know through our meeting and online since we are streaming it, they will be able to look and see this is a town that really values art and really values its culture and that’s something that we want to display.”

Walter Anderson Museum of Art officials started hanging the artwork around 10 this morning.
