Ocean Springs Calls for Cruisin’ Volunteers
If you live in Ocean Springs and you’re looking for a fun way to help rev up Cruisin’ the Coast, now is your chance.
Cruisin’ the Coast is one of South Mississippi’s biggest events of the year, bringing thousands of people to our coastal cities and it’s only six days away.
The Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Tourism Bureau are on the hunt for additions to their welcome crew for the big weekend.
During Cruisin’ the Coast’s three day stay in Ocean Springs, a team of volunteers will get to greet the cruisers and show them what the city has to offer. Executive Director of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Cynthia Sutton said, “What this welcome team will do is actually greet the cars as they come through, provide them with maps to towns, guides to towns, where they can shop, where they can eat and what the local entertainment venues are going to be during this event.”
During the cruisers’ stay in Ocean Springs, the city will be hosting a Friday night sock hop and street party, plus a chick’s picks car contest.
Volunteers are needed Thursday, October 6th through Saturday, October 8th. If you’re interested, call the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce at 228-875-4424.
