Ocean Springs alum Garrett Crochet signs with Chicago White Sox

Ocean Springs alum Garrett Crochet is officially a member of the White Sox, signing with Chicago on Monday to the tune of a $4,547,500 signing bonus.

That payday is perfectly in line with the slot value for the 11th overall selection in the first round, which made Crochet the highest ever pitcher ever drafted out of the University of Tennessee.

Originally a 34th round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in 2017, Crochet is a flame-throwing lefty, capable of hitting triple digits on the gun.
