Nuns Slain in their Home

Police in a small Mississippi city say they have discovered the bodies of two Catholic nuns.
The women were found in their home and authorities believe they are homicide victims. Police were called to check on the nuns when they did not show up for work. Both women were nurse practitioners.
They have been identified as Sister Margaret Held and Sister Paula Merrill.
Authorities do not know the cause of the death and do not have a motive at this time.
A spokesperson for the Catholic Diocese said there were signs of a break-in and the nuns’ vehicle is missing.
