Numbers are in For Scrapin’ the Coast…Attendance Way Up, Violations Down

The annual car show billed as the wildest on the Coast attracted a record number of exotic cars and low riders at this year’s event. Promoters of Scrapin’ the Coast estimated a crowd of 40,000 for this year’s show, which wrapped on Sunday.

Biloxi police say this weekend’s attendance numbers appear to be significantly higher than in previous years, although the number of traffic tickets, arrests and vehicle tows were driven down considerably. Police credit the city’s traffic plan for this achievement.
