No injuries reported after multiple house fires in Jackson County

There were multiple house fires in Jackson County over the weekend.

The first happened on Eastwood Drive in Moss Point at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22nd. The home was occupied by a mother and three children and fire crews were able to put out the fire with no injuries.

In Moss Point at Katie Street around 8 p.m. on Saturday, fire crews responded to a house fire in a home occupied by an elderly couple.  No injuries were reported at this location.

Both fires were believed to be caused by space heaters.

In the Big Point area on Paul Coleman Road at 9:57 p.m. Saturday night, fire crews responded to a mobile home fire. Units were able to put out the fire with no injuries reported.

The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
