No damper on this Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraiser

Folks braved the wet weather early on Saturday to deck downtown Biloxi in the color pink. Hundreds of survivors, family members, and friends raised awareness for breast cancer with by walking and running in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.

Participants walked a course through downtown Biloxi, then made their way to the Biloxi Town Green to chat with vendors and connect with others who have been impacted by breast cancer.

“I’m very grateful and very impressed by the large crowd that came out to support all of the people struggling with breast cancer, and you know it’s great, rain or shine,” said Courtney Anderson, Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society.

Event proceeds help the American Cancer Society provide care to survivors and to help fund cancer research.
