No Bond for Cameron May

Cameron May will get no bond and has been ordered to remain in the Jackson County Jail until his appearance before a grand jury.
May has secured his own attorney after rejecting a court appointed attorney last week. May appeared in court tonight for his preliminary hearing in the September assault of a woman in Ocean Springs at an apartment complex. May did confess when he was located in a Goodwill parking lot in Florida, where police say he fled to escape his charges.
Danny Jalanivich, the victim’s father, said, “We’re just glad he’s back and behind bars and no bail.”
Attorney Melvin Cooper said, “I know very little about the case. Certainly, he has not been indicted and according to the court ruling, the court is gonna present his case to a grand jury.”
No date has been set for Cameron May’s hearing with the grand jury.
