NEWS 25 Will Debut New Set March 22nd
On Monday, March 22nd, WXXV News 25 will debut a renovated set and graphic look in the “News at Noon” half-hour newscast on WXXV NBC 25.
The half-million dollar project took two months to complete and includes state-of-the art cameras, three video walls and an anchor desk. A new weather center and interview set complete the transformation from a completely virtual green-screen to a full hard news set.
News 25’s Senior Morning Anchor Jaylon Morris will be anchoring the first broadcast with special guests.
“It’s exciting! It’s given everyone on the team a pep in their step. I’m looking forward to our viewers finally getting to see what we’ve been working so hard on,” says Morris.
The broadcast also will mark the first time guests will be welcomed back into the studio for interview segments since the pandemic began. Interviews are now being scheduled. If you are interested in being interviewed on “News 25 Today” or “News at Noon” for an event or news story, please send a request to email@example.com.
WXXV News 25 will celebrate its 8th year on-air in September.
“We began our news journey more than 7 years ago, broadcasting 1 ½ hours of local news each day. As we stated then, we reaffirm that we are committed to providing the best news product possible every day. We have grown to more than 7 ½ hours of news a day and have invested in a state-of-the-art set for our team and our viewers. Our priority remains providing a strong local news product and to serve our viewers and communities,” says General Manager Bobby Edwards
