New Year’s Eve Traditions

Whether you’re ringing in the New Year at a big party or whether you’re celebrating it quietly at home with family, everyone has their own New Year’s Eve traditions.
In the South, many will eat black-eyed peas and cabbage to ensure prosperity in the year to come, a tradition dating back to the Civil War. But, if peas aren’t for you, will you be popping the bubbly or fighting to keep your eyes open until midnight?
If you are at home tonight, don’t forget you can ring in the New Year with us here at News 25 on FOX. We’ll be live broadcasting the Raising of the Pearl.
