New Year’s Eve Events around the Coast

The New Year is right around the corner and the Gulf Coast is celebrating with fun events!

The Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum will drop the ball in 2020: the Oyster Ball. For the past four years, this event has been the perfect way to usher in a fresh start to the New Year. The festivities are endless with live entertainment, great local food, delicious drinks, and party favors galore. The event kicks off at 8:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Admission is $75 a person and you must be 21 or older to participate.  The night caps off with the big oyster ball dropping from the top of the museum at midnight. To get tickets call the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum at 228-435-6320.

Now to an event that only comes around once in a century. We will be ringing in the new roaring 20s this New Year’s Eve. You can bring in the New Year Jay Gatsby style at the White House Hotel in Biloxi. The party will feature live entertainment, drink specials, a complimentary champagne toast, and much more. You do not have to be staying at the hotel to attend this event.

Also in Biloxi there’s a family friendly party with live entertainment. You don’t have to wait until midnight to bring in the New Year with a ‘pop.’ Margaritaville Resort is hosting three exciting balloon drops in the family entertainment center. Games are half-priced and DJ Zero Core will be playing from 8:30 to 12:30. Balloons will drop at 7 p.m., 10 p.m., and midnight.

The chapel at Centennial Plaza off Beach Boulevard in Gulfport is setting the stage for a New Year’s Eve party tomorrow night, starting at 9 p.m. The Myles Sharp Band will provide live entertainment, and the celebration includes a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight. The price of admission is $90 for two people.

You can brighten up the last day of 2019 and ring in 2020 at a New Year’s Eve Glow Anime Party at the Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum on Pass Road in Gulfport from 5 to 9 p.m.  Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Dress up in your favorite anime costume and grab a free glow stick to celebrate a kid-friendly sparkle countdown at 8:30 p.m. to welcome in the New Year.
