New thrift store in Long Beach aims to bring aid

This morning in Long Beach, city leaders and community members came together to welcome a new business that aims to help those in need.

The God’s Will Thrift Store is the newest outreach by Fatherless and Widows, a nonprofit that’s been serving our area since 2012. It’s located on Klondyke Road next to the post office.

The founder of Fatherless and Widows, Charles Wambolt, hopes that the community will bring business to the new store as the money earned at God’s Will Thrift Store will go towards helping those in need. “It’s to support the Fatherless and Widows ultimately. This is just an instrument and a tool because we’re just passing through here in this life and we need to do as much good as we can and the best that we can. We should try to make an effort.”
