New semester starts at Gulfport schools

It’s back to school time for Gulfport students and with the new year comes new goals for many students.

Today is the first day of spring semester at Gulfport High School.  According to Gulfport High Principal Michael Lindsey, the spring semester is the busiest for most students. “Our ninth and tenth graders are getting ready for their end of course assessments. Our sophomores and juniors will be taking the ACT in a few weeks. It’s an extremely busy time for our seniors. They are starting to get that spring fever and get ready for college.”

Principal Lindsey encourages all Gulfport students to keep organized and work hard in this new year.
