New Master’s Degree Offered at Tulane in Biloxi
A new master’s degree in computing technologies is now open for enrollment at Tulane University’s Mississippi Gulf Coast Campus.
Slated for the upcoming fall semester, students will be able to sign up for classes to earn the new Master of Professional Studies degree.
The MPS degree in computing technologies is geared towards people who are looking to merge managerial and technical skills with careers in information technology or business.
Associate Dean Dr. Karen Lucas tells News 25 there is a growing number of local employers who would find this degree appealing. “In this area, we have a lot of technology and one of the things that is happening in the Biloxi-Gulfport area is we truly are starting to regrow after the storm. People are starting to realize ‘I need a higher level of education and everyone has a bachelor’s degree now. I need something that is going to set me apart.’”
Students earning the degree will take ten different managerial classes in a time span of less than two years.
