New fire truck and equipment for Ocean Springs Fire Department

The City of Ocean Springs Fire Department got some new wheels.

Their new truck is a 2018 state of the art Rosenbauer fire truck that comes equipped with all the safety features including a thousand gallon water tank and a 300 gallon foam tank.

Battalion Chief Tim Heath says they are thankful they had the opportunity to purchase this new equipment. “We actually had six personnel here that were on our truck committee that actually inspected the truck out so they went for compartments and things like that which will make it beneficial for firefighting and rescue. We’re proud of the awesome fire truck that will serve the City of Ocean Springs.”

The truck was purchased from the fire department’s 2018 budget. The new truck is replacing an older 2001 model that will go into the station’s reserve trucks.
