New Exhibits on Display at the Mary C. O’Keefe Center

The Mary C. debuted two new galleries this evening.
The first is a history exhibit that aims to bring the year 1699 to life through maps, artwork and more. The other exhibit is a teen art exhibit. This is the first time the Mary C. has invited local schools to be a part of a display at the center. The exhibit featured student artwork from Biloxi, Gautier, Moss Point and St. Martin high schools. Curator Pat Pinson said, “Of course, we felt very strongly about these students coming into the Mary C. and some of the parents said “well, we’ve never been here before, what is this building?” So, we’ve been real pleased with that, of getting them. It reaches out to sort of different cliental.”
Both exhibits will be on display until June 14th.
