New development on Howard Avenue in Biloxi

You might have noticed construction going on along Howard Avenue across from MGM Park.
The owner of that building will now be the first business to take advantage of the City of Biloxi’s sales tax reimbursement incentive. The program is part of Mayor Gilich’s idea to bring life back to downtown Biloxi, specifically along Howard Avenue.
David Machado, a longtime Biloxi resident, tells News 25 the program offered by the city played a major role in deciding to bring his business and a new exterior to downtown Biloxi. “I think it’s a great program. It’s good for the City of Biloxi. It’s good for the overall vision of downtown revitalization and we hope there’s a lot more that comes in behind us and explores this option.”
The top floor of the building will house David’s engineering firm and the bottom floor will be for retail and restaurants.
