New to Cruisin’ the Coast

Cruisin’ organizers are putting their plans into place to accommodate the estimated 40,000 people expected to roll out to this year’s event.

It will be a familiar sight as you cruise along Highway 90 in Gulfport as vintage and antique cars roll into Centennial Plaza as they have for the past decade.

This year, Centennial Plaza is also home to recently opened hotels, restaurants, a water park, and other attractions, bringing new traffic and parking plans to Cruise Central this year. ‘Cruisin’ the Coast’ Director Woody Bailey said, “One of the newest things now is where we are right now, Centennial Plaza. We’ve had this place to ourselves a little over ten years now. Now it’s a fully developed resort. It’s a beautiful property. I can’t wait for all the cruisers to come in and see this. Also new this year, we’re moving our main venue in D’Iberville from City Hall over to the Scarlet Pearl Casino.”

Overnight guests at Centennial Plaza will go through the main gate and turn left to park.

Registered Cruisers will turn right inside the gate and park under the trees.

For those of you going to check out the show, parking will be to the east, outside of the fence. Signs will direct you to enter a parking area off Arkansas Avenue.
