New Bishop Has Strong Ties To The Coast
There’s a new Bishop in Biloxi and he’s no stranger to the Gulf Coast. Pope Francis has named reverend Louis Kin-Nah-Mon the third to serve as the fourth Bishop of Biloxi. The appointment was announced Friday in Washington DC. The Bishop-Elect was born in Louisiana but he says he grew up spending his summers on the coast from Bay Saint Louis to Biloxi. Bishop-Elect Kinnahmon was a priest for nearly forty years in Corpus Christi. He tells News 25 he’s excited to return and serve as the new chief shepherd for the 58 thousand Catholics living in South Mississippi. The fourth Bishop of Biloxi will be officially ordained and installed into the diocese February 17th at the nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral in Biloxi.
