NCAA extends recruiting dead period to May 31st

The NCAA has extended its recruiting dead period to May 31st in light of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

This ruling applies to both division I and II athletics which was originally put in place through April 15th.

By definition, a recruiting dead period prohibits any face-to-face interaction between college coaches and prospective student-athletes or their parents.

However, the two sides can still communicate over the phone or computer during the dead period.
