NCAA Baseball: Mississippi State vs. Southeastern Louisiana

MGM Park is going on its fourth year as the home of the Biloxi Shuckers, but it’s also becoming a popular destination for collegiate baseball.
Tonight, Mississippi State and Southeastern Louisiana University are descending upon the Gulf Coast to play in the inaugural Southern AG Credit rivals game.
Southeastern Louisiana wins 11-5. Southeastern Head Coach Matt Riser said, “Yeah, obviously a really neat experience for our players to be able to play in a minor league ballpark. To get back home for a few of them with Trey Shaffer and Peyton Lee is always nice because obviously the fan support, the family support is going to come out for them. And then like you said to be able to have a great opportunity tonight against a good Bulldog club, it’ll be a good midweek test for us here for conference this weekend.”
Tonight’s game between MSU and Southeastern was the first division I action at MGM Park this season.
Southern Miss beat Tulane 12-3. Ole Miss beat Georgia State 16-2.
Also at MGM Park, game one of today’s double-header featured William Carey and Mississippi College.
Game started an hour and a half late with umpires being a no-show.
Mississippi College wins 8-7. The game was tied at 1-1, heading into the bottom of the seventh.
