NCAA Baseball: Mississippi State vs. Oklahoma

Bigger the setback, bigger the comeback would be an accurate way to describe the Mississippi State baseball program.

Last year, the Bulldogs dropped their first game of the Hattiesburg Regional only to win four consecutive elimination games to advance to a Super Regional.

Since that worked out so well the last time, the Diamond Dawgs were attempting to accomplish that same feat again today in the ‘if necessary’ championship game of the Tallahassee Regional.

Two seed MSU taking on three seed Oklahoma, Bulldogs looking to win their eighth elimination game in a row.

Bulldogs become the first team in the history of college baseball to win two straight regionals after losing the opening game of both of them.

Mississippi State is onto the Supers for the third year in a row courtesy of today’s 8-1 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners.
